Awesome!! Katie Ashley can do me no wrong, seriously. This one had a lot more action & adventure than her other books & I LOVED IT. A fast paced, sexy thrill ride. Lane is on summer break with her family, visiting her grandmother and working at the family brewery when she runs into the last person she ever wanted to see again.

Lane & Maddox were best friends growing up, until the summer Lane turned sixteen. She was in love with him by that point and he had joined the army, was getting ready to ship out. That was the summer Lane gave her virginity to Maddox and he in turn completely broke her heart.

I really wanted to love this book. It started off very good, I was loving the characters. I loved Lane, Love Maddox(Even though I feel it was a rip off of the name, especially Mad Dog) But oh well. I loved the story line and I can appreciate the story line behind it. I loved the whole on the run in search of buried treasure. It's nice to read something differen't from time to time, other than whats out there. So in that aspect, I loved it and was very happy. But, sadly it was a bit lacking for me and a bit boring. Maybe that's just me though? I can't put my finger on what it was, but something just didn't make me love this book. I Love Katie and all her other books, I even enjoyed this book, just not a favorite. I would recommend it to others though. It was very well written and had a great story line and even potential for more in a series. I would probably read more, to see if it could restore my faith in this book. I kind of didn't like how Maddox always treated Lanie like a child, even when she proved time and time over she was not a child and even after he told her he did and always will love her. That bothered me a bit, if I was her, I would of kneed him in the balls a lot more than she did and not by accident, haha. Also the whole West thing bothered me, that his friend would just give them up and do that to Maddox and them. But oh well, I guess everyone has a price. I was very proud of her though, especially by the end of the book. GO LANIE! The shower scene with Maddox was probably my favorite and so sexy, mmmm. I wish there was a bit more steamy scenes, it was slightly lacking in that department. But the scenes they had, very, very good. Anyways, it was a good read and I'm just being honest. I will recommend it to others and still read anything and everything by the lovely Katie.
